Ms. Payne has been in private practice concentrating exclusively in the areas of divorce and family law since her departure from the Domestic Relations Court in September 2000. In 2007, Ms. Payne fulfilled her professional goal of opening her own law practice.

 

Ms. Payne is a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals; the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals; the Cincinnati Bar Association, member of the Domestic Relations Committee; the Ohio State Bar Association, member of the Solo and Small Firm Section; and the American Bar Association, member of the Family Law Section. Further, she is a Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers fellow.

About April Payne

Prior to graduating from the University of Akron School of Law, April Payne interned for the domestic relations judges in Summit County, Ohio. Enjoying her work during her internship, Ms. Payne decided to focus her legal career in divorce and family law.

 

After graduating from law school in 1998, she worked for Judge Susan Laker Tolbert at the Hamilton County, Ohio Domestic Relations Court for nearly two years. While working for Judge Tolbert, Ms. Payne gained invaluable, extensive experience in divorce and family law legal matters.
